JTR Imaging Brings the Heart and Soul of Nature Into Your Home
Mr. Jeff Rolland founded JTR Imaging Photography Studio and Custom Framing in July 2007. Mr. Rolland wanted to capture the feelings he gets from hiking trips and bring them into the home. That feeling; revitalized, rejuvenated, gets lost with the hustle of everyday life. Amazingly, Mr. Rolland gets these feelings after a hard day of hiking through the woods carrying 25 pounds of photography equipment. By the end of the day he is exhausted but ready to do it again.
The image collection in the Gallery is a collection from years of travel Mr. Rolland has made in his home state of Minnesota and Nevada. His favorite location being Minnesota’s famous North Shore. The geology of this area is spectacular with mountains, waterfalls, wildflowers, beautiful fall foliage and Lake Superior. The lake is so large that north of Duluth there is a feeling of being on the shore of an ocean. Along with the North Shore images there are images from other parks in the state, locals in the Twin Cities and Nevada.
Mr. Rolland is a photographer with 15+ years of experience. He started taking pictured in high school. At the timer it was a casual interest. Many years went by before he began to take the interest seriously. He focused is efforts on landscape photography while learning to use the camera as a tool to capture images. After this he learned to art of seeing light as the camera sees it. Mr. Rolland then branched out into other elements of photography including portrait, product photography and custom framing. He is primarily self educated with a little community art coursework.
Mr. Rolland has exhibited his artwork in both solo and group exhibitions. Settings include art galleries, nature centers, restaurants and hair salons. Some were weekend exhibitions while others were ongoing with one that lasted a few years. Mr. Rolland has participated in local art contests where his work was praised by other photographers.
